Originally released in 1998 during the inaugural year of the Jordan 13 the OG Chutney colorway is finally coming back. The "chutney" 13 low was the beginning of a new time for Jordan Brand. This shoe was the beginning of the brand experimenting with lifestyle off court colorways on their signature basketball shoes. This low top Jordan thirteen features an almost wheat colored suede upper, with black suede used on the tongue, mudguard, and midsole of the shoe. Black leather is featured on the toe box which matches the black pods, black carbon fiber shank plate, and black herringbone traction pads to give the shoe a well-rounded look. The traditional cats eye is kept on the outsole but, the hologram 23 on the heel is replaced by a gold Jumpman. The interesting story behind the Jordan 13 is that it took its design cues from a black panther (one of Jordan's many nicknames because of his killer instinct). You can see the inspiration as the outsole is designed to look like a cats paw and the shining circular hologram reflective of a cats eye.
